Hey team RMBS, Here is a question from Derrick Starkey regarding what looks like needle cast on a spruce: "I have been struggling with what look to be needle cast on my spruce bonsai for years now. There seems to be a lot of information about pine needle scale on the web, however Neem oil (recommended for pines), is not always ok for spruce. I've used bonide systemic and it may slow down the issue but hasn't cured the problem. Any Suggestions? Dan W have you enoucuntered this in WY?" Please see picture below. Notice white dots and banded, browning needles.

Hello RMBS members! I miss you all and hope that you are safe and well in these times of uncertainty. Unfortunately, due to the coronavirus pandemic, we had to cancel our beginning bonsai workshops for the year. We now have a nice stock of juniper procumbens pre-bonsai trees that are ready to be styled into beautiful bonsai. Please consider purchasing one (or a few) from RMBS to help offset the cost of the materials for the cancelled workshop. Two different sized trees are available. The cost for the larger trees is $40 and the smaller trees is $20. We currently have 10 large and 10 small trees for sale. We will post a numbered picture of each tree on the website forum at rmbonsai.org so you will have the ability to see them before you buy. They are for local pick-up only and cannot be shipped. If you are interested in purchasing them, please email adam.johnson.cpa@gmail.com. Please understand that we cannot hold specific trees for you. They will be sold on a first-come-first served basis. LOWER PRICE PER TREE MAY BE GRANTED FOR MULTIPLE PURCHASED. What: Juniper procumbens nana pre-bonsai (green mound Japanese garden juniper) Why: Ready for you to take home and style. Help us offset sunk workshop costs! How much: $40 large (trees #1-10) and $20 small (trees #11-20) Where to buy: Please email adam.johnson.cpa@gmail.com for local pickup. Additional information: Repotted in bonsai soil March 2020 by the Colorado Springs members of RMBS during repotting workshop.
