This year the Party will be held from 9:00am until 12:30pm. Setup will begin at 9am, the party will start around 10:30am, and cleanup will start at 12:30pm. Please bring a salad, appetizer, side dish, or dessert to share. There will also be an auction for bonsai-related items.

This will be a fun informal event! Bring trees or pots or anything bonsai related to swap or sell. There will be a freebie table where you can leave or take stuff. Bring a folding table (if you have one) and have multiple items. Its helpful to wear a name tag and bring cash for small stuff. If you don't have stuff to swap or sell, you can just come to socialize. Linda will have snacks and refreshments and will be offering pots/slabs at 50% off or trade. Everyone gets a free rock! Please RSVP to Linda via email if interested.

The Saturday workshop series continues at Patrick Allen’s home in Denver on August 26th. Please bring bonsai to work on, come see Patrick’s bonsai setup in an urban setting. He lives in a townhouse and has mastered the light requirements for various bonsai trees and has a unique overwintering in a limited space. Patrick will also talk with you how he prepares his pots and top dressing for the show. Talk bonsai with fellow enthusiasts and we will continue helping to refine bonsai in preparation for our annual show.

Park Maintenance Event

Please join us and Denver Takayama Sister City
Committee (DTSCC) volunteers for a semi-annual park maintenance. Parts of the maintenance includes “candling” of the five bonsai character trees. Trash cleanup and weeding is also
involved. Please bring gloves and a hat.
Water and refreshments will be provided by
DTSCC.
