From History Colorado's series "Lost Highways" https://www.historycolorado.org/lost-highways comes a fascinating hour-long podcast that explores the history of the Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society and the original Denver Bonsai Club. These clubs have an intimate and complex history which Tyler and Noel from History Colorado explore and find themselves on a route which involves fascinating detours back into the web of time. They arrive at Amache, an internment camp in Southeast Colorado for people of Japanese ancestry during WWII. They discover a story of hope, adaptation and thriving culture inside Amache's stark enclosures.
This was the best hour of my time spent online in quite some time!
