Here is the ficus today. I need to do something about the 2 horizontal branches on the left. The lower ledf branch is to straight for the first segment. To thick to bend easily and I don't really want to cut a wedge in the bottom.
So I am thinking about addressing it with an angle change repot. Which do you like best of the below? Both will require modifying the canopy.
One?
Or two?
After a repot to change the angle. I had to bare root all the aerial roots in order to be able to wire them into a vertical position. Never done that before. That is why the surface is covered with long grain sphagnum, to help the roots re-establish. It will stay on till next summer. Assuming it bounces back it will probably get one styling over the winter. First branch on the right need work.
