I am in the market for one or a couple relatively developed trees, as all of mine are still in development.
Usually this would not be anything special but everything being closed has posed a significant obstacle to my goal of purchasing. As we come out of the quarantine period, what options are opening up for the purchase of trees?
Anyone willing to brave social interaction to sell?
I don't have a particular species in mind though I am a sucker for junipers.
Happy spring everyone!

Hey! From your post it sounds like you are interested in more developed bonsai that have seen some training. I know of a few RMBS members who are may be interested in selling some of their collections. These tend to be on the more expensive side, but will be well cared for and better than anything you can get at a garden center or online.
Let me know if you are interested, and I can send along emails and phone numbers.

You can get some really nice trees from Nicks if you take your time looking and going back more then once. They had around 4 Ginnala maples with a big trunk and branches all over just waiting for someone to take them home. They were already a Bonsai and they just needed someone to come along and look past the nursery tree and see the beautiful Bonsai tree waiting to burst forward with just a little care and attention to it. They get really good quince trees there, just imagine what you can do with a quince in a few years. Here is a good example of a Nicks quince after a few years of training and care. This is a big tree to. I have been looking for years for a large trunk Apache PLume, pretty close to 9 years and I finally found one at Pine Lane Nursery in Parker! I released most of the branches on the tree and left it with 3-4 trunks. Pine Lane nursery in Parker has some nice trees. At one time they large Hornbeams for sale. Big trunk, branches everywhere take your pick. Don't just look at the 1-5 gallon trees either, go visit the balled and burlapped section you just might find something good.
I will have to go visit Nicks at some point, although Its just about across town from me
