Rock Planting Demo + How-To

Matt Wright and Mike Britten will lead a free rock planting demonstration along with instruction and tips on common rock planting practices and techniques. A large unstyled five-trunk Rocky Mountain Juniper clump will be removed from its collection box and planted onto an Jan Culek artificial stone slab. Attendees may arrive as early as 3:00pm when Matt and Mike will begin to remove the tree from its container and prepare the tree to be placed onto the stone. A showcase of other rock plantings, instruction on advanced rock planting techniques, and slab preparation and planting will begin at 6:00pm for those who wish to avoid the tedious root work or need to come after work.
