About the event

Patrick Allen- pre RMBS time period, WWII to 1969 including the internment of 120,000 Japanese Americans and Japanese citizens, the role of Japanese residents/citizens in the Denver area in the formation of the Denver Bonsai club and subsequently the Rocky Mountain Bonsai Society.

Pat Deutschman- the formation and development of RMBS from its inception in 1969 to today. A discussion of the people and the trees that have helped transform the club and its influence on the American Bonsai movement, including early collecting adventures, ABS conventions, award winning trees and artists, and a study of local heritage trees both at DBG and other collections.

Larry Jackel- display and discuss 4 Heritage trees from the DBG collection, their origins, history and significance to RMBS and American Bonsai.
