Beginner Class Series: Ficus 1/3

Who Should Attend: This series of three classes is designed for beginner bonsai practitioners who want an introduction to bonsai including hands-on guidance with a ficus bonsai. Tiger bark ficus are tropical trees that thrive in warm conditions and should be kept indoors when temperatures drop below about 50°F. They do not require a dormancy period and prefer bright light, consistent watering, and protection from cold drafts.

What to Expect: This series will include six participants. The instructors will cover essential bonsai horticulture and basic bonsai design principles and techniques as well as provide background on RMBS and bonsai in the region. Participants will receive a pre-bonsai and begin initial styling on their tree. The class series are each limited to 6 participants to allow individual attention from the instructors.
