Just a quick update for anyone interested! The auction was a blast and I think everyone who attended had a good time. Paul Gilbert is a heck of an auctioneer, that's for certain. We raised $2562.50 for the club! Proceeds donated to the club support ongoing club activities such as visiting artists and the annual show. (the fun stuff we all enjoy) Thanks to everyone who participated, donated, purchased, or just sent good wishes!

Just some light reading from the forest service and something caught my eye. This is related to ponderosa pines, but could probably be applied to pines of all ages. When we are styling them and hoping to signify age. Here is the article from 2003 if anyone is interested.

With Paulinos closed. Where is everyone ordering pumice? I'm interested in going in on a big order if anyone else wants to order from Hess directly.....or open to suggestions for another local source.

Just a thread where you can put trees that recently, or not so recently have inspired your work. Maybe it will inspire someone else! I had the joy of seeing Michael Hagedorn's Cryptomeria in his garden a few days before it went on display at the Portland Japanese garden.
