Please post photo's of your trees in color and anything else you think will add to a thread full of the beauty of the season. Happy Halloween! If you have any displays or trees that fit the 'spooky' theme throw those in too! ;) To start us off, here's a Trident maple ( acer bugerianum ), root-over-rock in development. I'll likely be potting this in a nice container this coming spring. I love the color change on it this year! Half yellow and half orange/red.

Here is my shohin display from the Virtual Show. The show was excellent by the way! The tree on the left is a Sub-alpine fir (Abies lasiocarpa) and on the right is a Limber pine (Pinus flexilis). Anyway, I had several different set-ups that I played around with (Several I didn't like enough to even photograph). I chose a combination of my ideas, but I'd love to hear your thoughts or ideas for what I could have done differently, or what you like/dislike about the displays below. Keep in mind, at this point in time I only own one singular shohin stand. I would like to expand on that eventually, but for now one is all I've got. Option 1: Option 2: Option 3:

Trees don't have to be show ready to offer great discussion and inspiration. Hey everyone! I thought this would be a great place for us to share photo's of our deciduous trees as they change color this year. Here's my Amur Maple (Acer ginala) to kick things off. I've been working this tree since spring of 2015.
