The weather is warming up, but snow is still very much a reality here. What is everyone working on this week with their trees? My outdoor plants are still under snow, but my tropicals and new baby trees are all waking up ready-to-go! I have a new Ebanopsis ebano that is just covered in green buds. Is it a good time to be thinking about trimming/wiring/repotting anything? Happy Friday!

Hi everyone, I'm pretty new to the club and only a couple years into bonsai. I never expected it to be so difficult to simply find good potting materials in the Denver area, and I need some guidance. Where do you all find pumice around here? And what's the best source for akadama and appropriately-sized lava? I assume the Bonsai Nursery on Federal will be a good place when they open, but I've never been before and I don't know if I can put this off any longer. Thanks for your help guys and gals.
