When do you bring your trees back out?

      in RMBS Forum

How do you all handle these wide weather shifts? Are you still leaving your trees in protected spaces? Some of my maples are breaking buds, but temps are still getting into the freezing range at night. Right now I am moving things in and out of my garage. Are there certain trees you are leaving out at night at this point (junipers, pines, etc.)?

My pines and junipers have been out all year. Maples / boxwoods im moving back and forth every day. Once the temps stay above 40f i will leave them out, but keep an eye out for a few more months!

I would echo Evan's response, and add...trees that have NOT been outside all year I will continue to move in and out of protection until overnight temps are 40 or higher.

This is the time to do the bonsai 2-step/shuffle/etc depending on where you live!
