My seedling stewartia's survived the 16 degree night in garage with sheet over them.
Have not looked as vibrant since as leaf buds had just begun to open. Leaves curled but not dead since. Moved them into tropical room underneath grow lights; some improvement from that. Seems dormant. Any ideas?

Thanks for the good advice. Will see if they improve what with nice sunny days, well a few here and there.
Also, count me in as one willing to volunteer at our show; difinitely will attend
In general once seedlings start to have buds swell or push leaves I don't let them freeze.
Put them out in the sun during the day if it is warm and sunny, >40 degrees. Bring them in at night if the forecast is for the the 30s. This is kind of generic for seedlings that did not winter on the ground last winter. For those I would leave them out and only bring them in if they have leafed out and there is going to be a hard freeze <30 degrees.
