Hi all. I'm new to bonsai, but I am very interested in the general topic of culturally modified trees in general, in particular Native American modified trees and plants here in Colorado. Is there anybody within this group that has expertise in that area? I've noticed a few interesting pieces of wood (possibly burned) in planters near the bonsai section at the Botanic Gardens which made me think this might be a good group to contact.

Jen, if you have anything to share I'm sure many of us would love to learn what you know about these trees. :)
Hello Jen, we do not have folks with expertise in this area within RMBS. However, 3 years ago we had a presentation from John Anderson (Colorado Springs) jwander.com who is a local expert and consultant on culturally modified trees. He is likely the local expert and I would reach out to him to start.
Hi Jen! I don’t have an answer to your question, but I’m interested to see what answers you get.
