Hi, everyone. I'm a relatively inexperienced bonsai enthusaiast, who would like to learn how to make better design choices and also not kill as many trees as i have, especially over winters.
I know Paul has mentioned a mentorship program in the recent meetings, and I wonder if there's a mentor willing to show me the ropes. I live in Berthoud, CO. I have read plenty of literature, but it all seems to not make sense when I'm looking at the material I have. And I struggle with knowing what to do to what kind of tree in each season. Pruning a mugo isn't the same as a juniper, etc.
I'm pretty heavily concentrating on junipers and native pines, but even there I seem to be struggling some.
Please advise. Thanks.
John
