Please post photo's of your trees in color and anything else you think will add to a thread full of the beauty of the season.
Happy Halloween! If you have any displays or trees that fit the 'spooky' theme throw those in too! ;)
To start us off, here's a Trident maple ( acer bugerianum ), root-over-rock in development. I'll likely be potting this in a nice container this coming spring. I love the color change on it this year! Half yellow and half orange/red.

Jerry used to look for colors in trees. In this case it was the white in the bark and he took cuttings from a number of Aspens. The whiter the better. Jerry even named them to keep tract of each different one. "Snow White" is the name of this particular tree. I know he did the same thing with Mountain Hawthorn fall colors, he was after really red fall foliage and pretty much gave away all of them except 4 with really red color. I don't like the style on my Aspen, I am changing it in the spring. That is a Tony Remmington porcelain crack pot. I am not sure he makes them anymore? I check everyone once in a while and I never see any more.
Thanks Mike. Cool trees!
I'm curious about the grafted aspen. Do you know what the characteristics are that made Jerry want to graft it? Different from regular habits of aspen? I love the pot it's in by the way!!

Dan, This is a wonderful thread! That ginko is great! Who made that blue pot for the Lowe's larch? Glaze is very nice
Here's one of the jack-o-lanterns I did with the kids tonight, as an accent to my Korean hornbeam ( carpinus coreana ) 🤣
And this is my American larch (Larix Laricina). It's just now starting to change color, so this photo is from 2018. Accent is a found coyote scull.
