There is a Cherry Tree? in the front of my yard that has had better days. There are some really good branches on it, so before i remove the tree, i was thinking of potentially air layering some of the larger branches to make some bonsai.
Is it too late to do this at this time of year in Denver? Any good resources on how to do it?

Hi Evan,
I think you're right on track with timing. Most professionals teach that the best time to air layer is right after the first flush of leaves harden off. I would look up the Mirai video on air layering if you're a member.
